A few notes as the Orioles hit the road for six games:

As our lord of the press box, Rich Dubroff, points out, Mark Reynolds is hitting .448 this season against the Red Sox a number that stands out in a season where hes batting .220 overall.

Reynolds will need whatever momentum hes built to carry into the Orioles next two series, against the Tigers and Rangers. Reynolds is a combined 3-for-22 (.136) in seven games against them this season.

Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera has reached 100 RBIs, making it five straight seasons of triple figures in driving them in for the Tigers and nine straight overall.

When Orioles manager Buck Showalter went out to check on Adam Jones after the center fielder had been nailed by a pitch, MASNs Roch Kubatko described the way he looked at the Red Sox this way: He glared at them to such a degree, I'm pretty sure he melted the railing in front of their dugout.
