TODAY’S GAME:

Baltimore Orioles (75-65) vs. Chicago White Sox (56-84), Oriole Park, 1:05 p.m.

STARTING PITCHERS:

Wei-Yin Chen (7-7, 3.87) vs. Hector Santiago (4-8, 3.43)

KEYS TO THE GAME:

Chen has won just one of his last six starts. He allowed a career-high five walks in his last start. He’ll have to do better.

The Orioles are just 16-15 against the AL Central. They’d like to win the last two games against the White Sox to finish strongly against the Central.

NEWS AND NOTES:

Manager Buck Showalter said that Chris Snyder would start as catcher instead of Matt Wieters.

Adam Jones is the 13th player in club history to have 30 home runs and 100 RBIs in a season.

Chris Davis has 86 extra-base hits, six short of Brady Anderson’s club record. According to STATS, the only Orioles to led the majors in extra-base hits are Frank Robinson (85 in 1986) and Cal Ripken (85 in 1991).
