Orioles upgrade pitching with trade for Feldman

 Tonight’s Game:

Baltimore Orioles (47-37) vs. Chicago White Sox (33-47) 7:10 p.m. U.S. Cellular Field

Starting pitchers:

Scott Feldman (0-0, 0.00) vs. Hector Santiago (3-5, 3.59)

Keys to the game:

Feldman, who was acquired on Tuesday, flew to Chicago and reports to the Orioles. In his last start, on June 26, he allowed three runs on six hits in six innings at Milwaukee and won.

The Orioles haven’t seen Santiago, and hope they’ll do better against him than they did against John Danks on Tuesday.

News and Notes:

The Sept. 7 game against Chicago has been moved from 7:05 p.m. to 1:05 p.m. so it can be shown on Fox.

Norfolk reliever Jon Rauch exercised his opt-out clause and has been released.

The Orioles have to cut a player to make room for Feldman.

Chicago’s Alex Rios is 10-for-32 with two home runs off Feldman. Paul Konerko is 6-for-22 with two home runs and six RBIs. Catcher Tyler Flowers is 5-for-7. The two outs are strikeouts.
