BALTIMORE –- Just six days remain between now and the deadline to add players from outside the organization who are eligible for the postseason.

Orioles executive vice president of baseball operations Dan Duquette said that the team continues to look for an additional hitter.

“We’re looking at it. We’ve pursued some hitters, but we haven’t been able to find the right fit,” Duquette said on Sunday morning.

Since early July, Duquette added starting pitchers Scott Feldman and Bud Norris and reliever Francisco Rodriguez.

He didn’t rule out trying to acquire additional help for the bullpen.

“It’s something we can take a look at. I think we have some people down at Triple-A that might be able to help our bullpen,” Duquette said.

Duquette mentioned right-handers Kevin Gausman and Josh Stinson as possible additions to the roster. The Orioles can expand the roster to 40 players on Sunday.
