Today’s Games:

Baltimore Orioles vs. Boston Red Sox, JetBlue Park, Fort Myers, Fla. 1:05 p.m.

Baltimore Orioles vs. Tampa Bay Rays, Charlotte Sports Park, Port Charlotte, Fla., 7:05 p.m.

Starting pitchers:

Miguel Gonzalez vs. Allen Webster

Chris Tillman vs. David Price

Keys to the Game:

Tillman is set to start Monday’s opener against the Red Sox. That’s why he’s pitching against Tampa Bay. Gonzalez won’t pitch in the opening series next week.

Manager Buck Showalter sent Chris Davis, David Lough and Nick Markakis to Fort Myers. Nelson Cruz, J.J. Hardy, Adam Jones and Matt Wieters are starting in Port Charlotte.

News and Notes:

Showalter is likely to make cuts after the first game and more after the second game. He hopes to have the roster largely set by Thursday.

The Orioles will likely have to choose between Alfredo Aceves and Evan Meek as their final bullpen candidate, unless they go with 13 pitchers, which seems unlikely. They eliminated another contender when they sent Brad Brach to Norfolk on Tuesday.

Showalter is likely to use his opening day lineup in the last Florida game on Thursday night.
