Grant Balfour insists he’s fine.
In an interview with the San Francisco Chronicle, Balfour responded to the Orioles’ refusal to sign him following the results of a medical exam.
"I'm the All-Star pitcher I was last season. My shoulder is fine, everything is fine. I'm ready to come out there in the ninth inning, do what I do,” Balfour said.
Balfour and the Orioles came to a two-year, $15 million agreement pending results of a physical. On Friday, the team announced it would not sign Balfour.
“I’m 100 percent fine,” Balfour said. “I guess they chose to go another route.”
