If you’re watching the Cardinals-Giants series in search of players with Orioles connections, you may have to watch especially hard.

There are no former Orioles on the Cardinals, and  just one, the seldom-used Aubrey Huff on the Giants.

Huff made a name in Baltimore by blasting the city and by being labeled by team management as a bad role model for younger players.

In 2008, Huff had a fabulous year, hitting .304 with 32 home runs and 108 RBIs, winning the Most Valuable Oriole Award. He was a bust the next season, and in mid-August traded to Detroit for a minor leaguer.

Huff signed with the Giants and won a World Series in 2010. This year, he’s played in just 52 games, batting .192, and San Francisco is likely to buy him out for $2 million.

It’s been a nice ride for Huff, the only former Oriole in the National League Championship Series.
