What’s ‘appening? When it comes to Buck Showalter’s cellphone, apparently not much.

As recounted by Roch Kubatko at MASN, the Orioles manager is not the most tech-savvy guy around, so third baseman Manny Machado was trying to give him a hand.

"He's trying to get me to learn how to download some stuff, apps," Showalter said before Tuesday’s game. "He looked at my phone and said, 'You don't have any apps.' I said, 'What's an app?'”

So Machado told Showalter about Pandora, the online build-your-own-music-feed site/app.

"He goes, 'Just go to Pandora.' And I went, 'I know about Pandora's box.' He got quite a kick out of it. He's still laughing at it. 'Buck, where's your apps?' I go, 'I don't know. Where are they?' He's trying to get me with the times."

Given that the skidding Orioles are 8-for-58 with runners in scoring position over the last nine games, Showalter may want to ask Machado about finding an app for driving in runs.
