Today’s Game:

Baltimore Orioles (81-73) vs. Tampa Bay Rays (85-69), Tropicana Field, 1:40 p.m.

Starting pitchers:

Scott Feldman (5-4, 3.51) vs. Enny Romero-Major League Debut

Keys to the game:

The Orioles playoff chances are fading, and probably have to win the two remaining games against the Rays, and nearly all of the other six left to have a shot.

The potent Orioles offense has tired. They’ve gone 18 games without scoring more than five runs—the longest stretch since Sept. 1992.

News and Notes:

The Orioles trail Cleveland by 3 1/2 games with eight to play for the final wild-card spot.

Feldman is 4-2 with a 2.13 ERA in 11 games against the Rays.

David DeJesus is 6-for-11 against Feldman with six walks. Ben Zobrist is 1-for-11.

The Orioles have lost nine of their last 11 games to the Rays.

Chris Davis now has 93 extra-base hits, the most in club history. On Saturday, he broke Brady Anderson’s 1996 team record of 92.
