BALTIMORE – Kevin Gausman will throw in the bullpen in Aberdeen on Monday. After that, the Orioles don’t know.

“Nothing’s said Gausman’s going to come back here,” manager Buck Showalter said.

For some reason, Showalter hasn’t wanted to commit to Gausman’s return to the Orioles even though it’s obvious he will come back.

“We’ve got five starting pitchers,” Showalter said.

Gausman’s next start could be tied in with the Orioles playing a man short due to Manny Machado’s suspension.

“That’s one of those things we’re talking about,” Showalter said.

Chris Tillman will start on Wednesday. Wei-Yin Chen is likely to start on Thursday, Showalter said. He hopes Bud Norris will be ready to pitch when he’s eligible to come off the disabled list on July 7.

“If he makes the seventh, we have a whole different dynamic,” Showalter said. “I don’t think we’re going to get close to answering that question until the next time he takes a work day, which will probably be in two or three days.”

NOTES: Norfolk infielder Alexi Casilla will have surgery on his right hamate bone on Tuesday in Sarasota, Fla. … Suk-min Yoon’s sore right shoulder will be examined by Orioles team physician Dr. Michael Jacobs. … Tides pitcher Josh Stinson will be unable to make his next start, Showalter said.
