Orioles headed to unfriendly confines of Yankee Stadium

BOSTON – After taking two of three against the Red Sox, the Orioles are heading to Yankee Stadium for three games.

Last year, they won six of nine in the Bronx, their first winning season there since 1997.

The Yankees, who are 4-4 were rained out for the past two nights in Cleveland.

“We move on to another challenge in New York. A team that's playing well and try to deal with the issues that teams face - weather, hostile environment. But our guys will be ready," manager Buck Showalter said.

Miguel Gonzalez, who was 2-0 with a 2.18 ERA in three starts in Yankee Stadium last season, gets the start against C.C. Sabathia (1-1, 3,00) on Friday night. Jason Hammel (1-1, 4.97) and Hiroki Kuroda (1-1, 6.75) meet on Saturday in a 4:05 p.m. On Sunday night, the Orioles return to ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball. Wei-Yin Chen (0-1, 3.75) faces Andy Pettitte (2-0, 1.20).
