Tonight’s Game:

Baltimore Orioles (82-76) vs. Toronto Blue Jays (72-86), Oriole Park, 7:05 p.m.

Starting pitchers:

Miguel Gonzalez (10-8, 3.94) vs. Mark Buehrle (12-9, 4.09)

Keys to the Game:

The Orioles broke a six-game losing streak with Adam Jones, Brian Roberts and Matt Wieters on the bench. They all may return tonight.

Gonzalez is trying to close out the year strongly. He’s won just two of his last 10 starts.

News and Notes:

Jonathan Schoop became the first Oriole to homer in his major league debut since Larry Haney on July 27, 1966.

Schoop and Jason Pridie made their Orioles debuts on Wednesday. The Orioles have used 51 players, one fewer than last season. Mike Belfiore is active, but he’s yet to pitch. He would become the 52nd.

The Orioles and Blue Jays have split 18 games. Of their AL East opponents, they’ve dropped season series to the Rays and Yankees, and lead the Red Sox 9-7.

Ryan Flaherty, who had his second two home run game, both against Toronto, deposited one of them on Eutaw Street. There have been 11 homers on Eutaw Street, most in history.
