Tonight's Game:

Baltimore Orioles (15-11) vs. Seattle Mariners (12-16) 10:10 p.m. Safeco Field

Starting pitchers:

Jason Hammel (3-1, 3.82) vs. Brandon Maurer (2-3, 5.61)

Keys to the game:

The Orioles have never faced the 22-year-old, who is making his sixth start.  In his last one, Maurer allowed no runs on seven hits in six innings against the Angeles.

Hammel is 1-1 with a 3.79 ERA in four appearances against Seattle. The only Mariners batter with more than six at-bats against Hammel is Raul Ibanez, who’s 6-for-25.

News & Notes:

The Orioles are trying to break their first two-game losing streak since they lost three straight in the fifth, sixth and seventh games of the season.

Catcher Chris Snyder, who was acquired on Sunday night from Los Angeles, is expected to be activated before the game.
