Tonight's Game:

Baltimore Orioles (77-69) vs. Toronto Blue Jays (67-79) 7:07 p.m. Rogers Centre

Starting pitchers:

Jason Hammel (7-8, 5.11) vs. Todd Redmond (3-2, 4.40)

Keys to the game:

Hammel hasn’t won since Memorial Day, and is making his first start since coming off the disabled list. He was sidelined with a strained right forearm. How much can the Orioles get from him?

The Orioles haven’t won a season series in Toronto since 2005. If they can sweep the three-game series, they’ll have a 5-5 split.

News and Notes:

The Orioles will begin play trailing Tampa Bay by 2 ½ games in the chase for the second Wild Card spot.

Darren O’Day won’t be with the team. He’s having more tests for numbness in two fingers on his right hand.

Hammel is starting because Bud Norris (right elbow) is unavailable.

Due to legal issues, Cuban defector Henry Urrutia was unable to travel with the team to Toronto.
