TONIGHT’S GAME:

Baltimore Orioles (54-43) vs. Texas Rangers (54-42), Ballpark at Arlington, 8:05 p.m.

STARTING PITCHERS:

Miguel Gonzalez (7-3, 3.48) vs. Ross Wolf (1-2, 2.14)

KEYS TO THE GAME:

The Orioles were heartened by Wei-Yin Chen’s second straight strong start. Gonzalez, who has eight straight quality starts and nine consecutive outings lasting at least six innings, can build on that.

Wolf allowed two runs on three hits in six innings last week in Baltimore, and the Orioles will hope to get a little more offense than they got then.

NEWS AND NOTES:

Henry Urrutia is scheduled to make his major league debut as the Orioles’ designated hitter. He’ll be the 42nd player used by the team this season.

Orioles starters have delivered five strong starts in the last six games, and not coincidentally, they’ve now all five.

Gonzalez has allowed one run in four of his last seven starts, three in the others.

The Orioles are a season-high 11 games over .500.
