September 18, 2013, 11:00 am

Tonight's Game:

Baltimore Orioles (80-70) vs. Boston Red Sox (92-60) 7:10 p.m. Fenway Park

Starting pitchers:

Wei-Yin Chen (7-7, 3.99) vs. Jake Peavy (11-5, 4.03)

Keys to the game:

Chen has only won once in his last eight starts. He’s 1-2 with a 6.14 ERA in four starts at Fenway Park. He’ll have to do better.

The Orioles have scored five runs or fewer in their last 14 games, their longest stretch in exactly 10 years. They may need to score more than five to win against Peavy.

News and Notes:

The Orioles are trailing Tampa Bay and Texas by two games in the wild-card race. They’re 1 ½ behind Cleveland.

Darren O’Day may return to the team for the game. O’Day hasn’t pitched since Sept. 7 with numbness in two fingers of his right hand.

Peavy is 2-0 with a 2.77 ERA in two career appearances against the Orioles. J.J. Hardy is 1-for-14 against Peavy.

Boston’s Dustin Pedroia is 7-for-13 against Chen.
