BOSTON – Steve Pearce has rejoined the Orioles after a stint on the disabled list with tendinitis in his left wrist. It was the second time on the DL for Pearce this season.

He missed five weeks earlier in the season.

“It’s definitely where I want to be. It’s better than being in Sarasota,” Pearce said.

When the Orioles disabled Pearce on Aug. 31, they sent him to their spring training complex. Now, he feels ready to play.

“It feels good to go right now,” Pearce said.

In 38 games, Pearce is batting .241 with three home runs and nine RBIs. After missing so much time, he’s not going to be cautious.

“I have an offseason to get ready, do what I can to help the team,” Pearce said.

“It’s very exciting. It’s hard watching it on TV. I’m glad to be up here, be with the guys, feel the electricity out in the dugout, be with the teammates. This is where I want to be.”
