PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. – A day after Nolan Reimold left Friday’s game with a sore right shoulder, he insisted everything was fine.
“I’m feeling all right. Just due for some treatment. Feeling better. I’ll be all right,’ Reimold said Saturday morning.
After connecting for a two-run home run in the second inning, Reimold left the game. He stayed in the dugout with the rest of the regulars and left the field after the fifth inning when they did.
He didn’t take the trip to Port Charlotte. Nearly a year ago, Reimold was hit by a pitch from Saturday’s Rays’ starter, Alex Cobb.
“Shouldn’t be very long. I can swing. I can do everything. I don’t want to do something stupid in spring training,” Reimold said.
Reimold said this isn’t an injury that would have happened during the regular season.
“Probably wouldn’t have had anything if I didn’t have an at-bat and then come out.”
