The Orioles bullpen has been outstanding with 18 scoreless innings in the first five games of the 10-game road trip.

Tillman has been great against Boston. He was 4-1 with a 2.15 ERA in nine starts against the Red Sox and a 1.93 ERA in four starts at Fenway Park.

News and Notes:

The Orioles are trailing Texas by a game for the second wild-card spot. They’re a half-game behind Cleveland.

With Wednesday night’s spotless performance, the Orioles set a modern day record with 114 errorless games.

Darren O’Day rejoined the Orioles for Wednesday night’s game. Buck Showalter said he wasn’t available, but should be for Thursday.

Danny Valencia continues to be hot. He’s batting .500 (11-for-22) against the Red Sox this season and in his last 17 games, is batting .467 with 10 multi-hit games.

The Orioles haven’t scored more than five runs in 15 straight games—the longest stretch since June 23-July 11, 1998.
