SARASOTA, Fla. – The Orioles have a dress rehearsal for spring training on Thursday. At 1:05 p.m., they’ll play a six-inning intrasquad game at Ed Smith Stadium.
It’s a big day for the Orioles since they’ll be joined by Olympic swimming champion Michael Phelps, who’ll take batting practice with the team. Phelps, a huge Orioles fan, will wear uniform No. 18 to match the number of gold medals he’s won. Phelps is here as part of a promotion for an upcoming program on the Golf Channel.
