Tonight's Game:

Baltimore Orioles (15-10) vs. Seattle Mariners (11-16) 10:10 p.m. Safeco Field

Starting pitchers:

Zach Britton (0-0, 0.00) vs Joe Saunders (1-3, 6.33)

Keys to the game:

How will Britton, who has pitched well in two career starts against the Mariners, do in his first start of the season?

Britton is the second pitcher to get a shot at replacing Jake Arrieta, who was sent to Norfolk last week. Josh Stinson allowed four home runs in 5 2/3 innings in his only start with the team last week.

How healthy is the bullpen? After Pedro Strop’s meltdown on Sunday, and ineffectiveness by Brian Matusz and Troy Patton, manager Buck Showalter is hoping for a long outing from Britton.

News & Notes:

Chris Snyder has reported, but won't be activated until Tuesday.

The Orioles were 8-1 against Seattle last year and 5-1 at Safeco Field, including an 18-inning game in September.

Saunders signed a one-year contract with the Mariners just before the start of spring training. He was acquired by the Orioles in late August and was 3-3 with a 3.63 ERA in seven starts. He won the Wild Card game in Texas that allowed the Orioles to advance to the Division Series.

Robert Andino, who played four seasons with the Orioles and was traded to Seattle last November, faces his old team for the first time. He’s batting just .190 in 15 games.
