SARASOTA, Fla. – The Orioles host the Boston Red Sox at Ed Smith Stadium at 7:05 p.m. in the second game of a split squad doubleheader. In the first game, the Orioles beat the Yankees 10-7 in Tampa.

-Tsuyoshi Wada threw 25 pitches in his second bullpen session. “My elbow and overall body-wise, conditioning-wise, I do feel stronger. As time goes by I feel like I’m going to be able to swing my arms faster too. Gradually it’s going to get better day by day,” Wada said through his translator. Wada is not sure when he’ll throw again.

-Catcher Luis Martinez, who’s been sidelined with an oblique muscle injury, says he's getting stronger and may be ready to play this weekend.

-Cal Ripken will throw out the first pitch before the Orioles-Blue Jays game on March 7.
