Nine Ravens have earned bonuses of over $100,000 in the NFL’s performance-based pay pool for 2013, according to league records.
Wide receiver Marlon Brown earned the biggest bonus among the Ravens, $235,461. The league’s performance-based formula compensates players for their playing time in comparison to their salary level. Brown was an undrafted rookie who earned $410,000 last season – a $405,000 salary and a $5,000 signing bonus. Brown led the Ravens with seven touchdowns catches, and caught 49 passes for 524 yards.
The other eight Ravens that earned six-figure bonuses were center Gino Gradkowski ($230,105), safety James Ihedigbo ($229,688), guard A. Q. Shipley ($194,100), linebacker Josh Bynes ($193,195), wide receiver Torrey Smith ($141,883), left tackle Eugene Monroe ($136,442), safety Anthony Levine ($125,773), and safety Matt Elam ($117,404).
