More praise for the Ravens’ draft — this time from Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio.

Florio credits them for picking up the safety and linebacker they needed with Matt Elam and Arthur Brown, respectively. The move to wait until the second round for a linebacker made sense because of the abundance of them available. And as for Brown, “The decision to swap three picks to move up for Brown shows that they wanted him, badly.”

Florio also wonders about a position not addressed: “With tight ends Dennis Pitta and Ed Dickson heading toward unrestricted free agency in 2014, the Ravens should have considered adding a tight end now.”

However, overall, he writes: “The Ravens deftly blended present needs and future development.”

Doesn’t it almost make you concerned that the Ravens seem to be almost universally being given hosannas for their draft? Some Ravens fans take it as a point of faith — and thus of honor — that the national media will invariably downgrade anything having to do with the Ravens. But the “in Ozzie we trust” slogan has spread beyond Baltimore, so that commentators now are loath to question much of what Ozzie Newsome does when it comes to personnel moves, especially the draft.

So the Ravens are going to draw high marks — just get used to it.
