Add Steelers running backs coach Kirby Wilson to the list of Ravens offensive coordinator candidates. Who says the Ravens don’t like the Steelers? Wilson was scheduled to be interviewed later this week.

Wilson is one of four candidates confirmed Tuesday by coach John Harbaugh via the team’s website, along with Ravens wide receivers coach Jim Hostler, former Lions offensive coordinator Scott Linehan, and former Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan. Harbaugh said some college coaches would also be considered, and offered no timetable for filling the position.

A member of Steelers coach Mike Tomlin’s staff since 2007, Wilson was badly burned in a life-threatening January 2012 house fire. He was put in a medically induced coma, and suffered burns over 45 percent of his body.

However, after months of grueling therapy, Wilson returned to the Steelers in July of 2012 in time for training camp. The Ravens likely view Wilson as someone who can improve their running game, which ranked 30th in the NFL in 2013. Wilson had been an NFL running backs coach with the Patriots (1997-99), the Redskins (2000), the Buccaneers (2002-03), and the Cardinals (2004-06) before joining the Steelers.

The Ravens turning to the division-rival Steelers for a coordinator? If Wilson impresses Harbaugh enough, it could happen.
