At this point for the Ravens, talk is cheap, but wins are precious.

The Ravens (3-4) returned to practice Monday, knowing it will take a strong second half of the season to make the playoffs. The locker room will not open for player interviews until Wednesday. However, coach John Harbaugh held his weekly Monday press conference, and said he was happy with the team’s focus after a four-day break.

“We had practice today, meetings this morning, guys came back, everybody was here on time, ready to go, working hard with a lot of enthusiasm,” Harbaugh said. “The midseason rest is always good. You get a chance to get your legs back. Get a chance to get your body healed a little bit. Those are positives of the bye week. I think it was a plus for us. I’m looking forward to seeing how we respond in terms of how we play.”

For the Ravens to win the AFC North, the next two games against division opponents can be viewed as must-wins. After facing the Browns (3-5) in Cleveland on Sunday, the Ravens will host the division-leading Bengals (6-2).

“Every one of these games is critical,” Harbaugh said. “At the end we’ll see where we stand. It’s where it stands after 16 games that matters.” But after seven games, the Ravens stand in danger of missing the playoffs.
