Much has been said about Andy Dalton being winless in three career playoff games. On Sunday against the Ravens, the Bengals starting quarterback will be looking for another career breakthrough. Dalton is winless in three starts at M&T Bank Stadium.

Here’s a statistical look at Dalton’s three career starts in Baltimore.

2011 – 24 for 45, 373 yards, 1 TD, 3 INT, 60.7 QB rating. Ravens 31, Bengals 24.

2012 – 22 for 37, 221 yards, O TD, 1 INT, 65.3 QB rating. Ravens 44, Bengals 13.

2013 – 24 for 51, 274 yards, 2 TD, 3 INT, 52.2 QB rating. Ravens 20, Bengals 17.

That’s seven interceptions for Dalton in three games in Baltimore. Not very impressive, however, that does not mean Dalton’s tough times will continue Sunday. Not with the Ravens having question marks at cornerback, with Lardarius Webb (back), Asa Jackson (ankle), and Jimmy Smith (chest bruise) all hoping to return from preseason injuries. All three of cornerbacks were on the practice field Saturday, which was an encouraging sign for the Ravens.

Dalton looked very sharp during the preseason, completing 70.6 percent of his throws. He signed a new six-year $115 million in August.

However, Dalton will hear about things he hasn’t done until he does them. Winning in Baltimore is one of those things.
