Ravens defensive end Arthur Jones has tweeted positively about his health concerns, indicating that he could return to action soon.
Jones has been out since playing in the third preseason game against the Panthers, and missed Thursday’s season-opener against the Broncos with an undisclosed illness. However, Jones tweeted Friday night that he had received good news from doctors.
“Thank you Lord for the amazing news today,” Jones tweeted. “I don’t know where I would be without you :-) The big man upstairs answered.”
Jones is dealing with a viral infection near his heart, according to The Baltimore Sun. However, neither Jones nor the Ravens have revealed the nature of his illness. Coach John Harbaugh has said that Jones’ condition was not life threatening, but that Jones would not return until doctors cleared him.
Judging from his comments, Jones believes he will receive clearance in the near future.
