Steve Smith has yet to play a game with the Ravens, but his former Panthers teammates already miss him. Interviewed Thursday on NFL AM, Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams lamented the Panthers' decision to part with Smith and others from last season's receiving corps.
DeAngelo Williams sorry to see Steve Smith go

"I played with Steve for eight years, and I know the chip he has on his shoulder, and he's a playmaker," Williams said. "I couldn't believe we made those moves. Like, I'm still in shock. Not only did we lose him, but Ted Ginn Jr., Brandon LaFell, and (Domenik) Hixon."
Smith still has a chip on his shoulder - motivation to prove he has plenty left in the tank. Anquan Boldin was in a similar situation last season, and delivered with 85 catches for 1179 yards for the 49ers after the Ravens traded him. If Smith responds with that kind of season for the Ravens, they will be thrilled. And Williams will be even more disappointed.
