For the second game in a row, the Ravens won’t have safety Bernard Pollard, but they have key players back in the lineup for Sunday’s game vs. the New York Giants.
Guard Marshal Yanda, tight end Ed Dickson and linebacker Dannell Ellerbe -- all missed last week’s 34-17 loss to the Denver Broncos -- are active.
Pollard (ribs) has been playing hurt since Week 2 when he was accidentally speared by a teammate’s helmet when making a tackle. James Ihedigbo will take his spot in the starting lineup.
Receiver Tandon Doss (ankle), linebacker Albert McClellan (thigh/shoulder), guard Bobbie Williams, guard Ramon Harewood, receiver Deonte Thompson and tackle Bryan Hall rounded out the list of Baltimore's inactives.
Paul Kruger, who leads the Ravens with 8 sacks, steps in the strong-side linebacker position for McClellan.
Dickson (knee) and Ellerbe (ankle) last played Nov. 25 at the San Diego Chargers, the Ravens’ last victory before a three-game losing streak. Yanda (ankle) missed only one game.
Even though receiver Torrey Smith and running back Bernard Pierce had concussions against the Broncos, both are playing vs. the Giants. They were among seven players listed by the Ravens as questionable. Five of them, including fullback Vonta Leach (ankle), are playing.
Linebacker Adrian Hamilton, who was activated from the practice squad Saturday as Jameel McClain (spine contusion) was put on injured reserve, is among the Ravens’ 46-man active roster.
Giants defensive end Justin Tuck (shoulder) is out and being replaced by Osi Umenyiora. Receiver Ramses Barden, safeties Kenny Phillips and Tyler Sash, tight ends Travis Beckum and Adrien Robinson and defensive end Adewale Ojomo also are inactive.
