Your team has just been blown out, losing by 40 points. So what do you do? Trash your former team.

That’s the route Jets kick returner Josh Cribbs took. The former Brown, who spent eight seasons in Cleveland, said this after New York’s 49-9 loss to the Bengals on Sunday, as reported by Newsday:

"We're not the Browns. We're not the team that gives up. We have fight in this team. They're a motivated bunch of young guys. I'm just happy to be here and be able to contribute.  ... Love it here. We lost. It's going to be a lesson for us, and we're going to play harder. It's good that it comes now because we're still in the mix of this. We're halfway through the season."

And then, guess what? Cribbs pulled out the old “misquoted” card. Via his Twitter feed:

“Wow Browns fans why all the hate? Years of loyalty & one miss quote in an article an u now wish the worst 4me? I thought by now u can read thru the chopped up quite a miss conceptions...smh but I know it hard to cypher thru I love y'all like a sibling we can fight as long as we always make up! Be blessed....”

Yeah, it can be hard to “cypher,” but blame it on those two young women, “Miss Quote” and “Miss Conceptions.”

Fortunately for Cribbs, when the Jets and Browns play on Dec. 22, the game is in New Jersey. Otherwise, you have to figure he wouldn’t have a hard time deciphering what the Dawg Pound thinks of him.
