Another ex-Ravens coach has joined the Browns. Former running backs coach Wilbert Montgomery has joined Cleveland as their running backs coach, the Browns announced Thursday.

Montgomery joins Browns offensive line coach Andy Moeller, who left the Ravens staff last month.

Montgomery spent six years with the Ravens, but was let go after a season in which they finished 30th in the NFL in total rushing. Montgomery has also been an assistant coach with the Lions and Rams. The Browns’ staff under new head coach Mike Pettine will have a decidedly ex-Ravens flavor.

In addition to Montgomery and Moeller, former Ravens defensive end Anthony Weaver is Cleveland’ defensive line coach, and former Ravens assistant strength coach Paul Ricci is Cleveland’s strength coach. Pettine spent seven seasons (2002-08) as a Ravens assistant coach.
