Hiring Gary Kubiak as offensive coordinator was one of the Ravens’ most important offensive moves. Here are five players who could benefit most from Kubiak’s arrival.

Joe Flacco – As a former NFL quarterback, Kubiak understands the position. His play calling should be an asset to Flacco, and input from Kubiak and quarterbacks coach Rick Dennison could help Flacco throw for a higher completion percentage.

Jacoby Jones – Jones and Kubiak are close, after working together with the Texans.  Jones should continue to get big play opportunities, despite the Ravens having a suddenly deep receiving corps.

Dennis Pitta - Kubiak likes throwing to tight ends, and Pitta has terrific chemistry with Flacco. If Pitta stays healthy, 2014 could be his best season.

Ray Rice – Both Kubiak and coach John Harbaugh are committed to a strong running game, and the offensive line should be improved. If Rice gets past his legal issues, he could have a bounce back season.

Torrey Smith – Smith had his first 1,000-yard season, but he only caught four touchdown passes. With the Texans, one of Kubiak’s goals will be to help Smith become a more productive red zone receiver.
