Joe Flacco swears he'll never get used to the attention that comes with being a star, but he is taking full advantage of this celebrity thing since winning Super Bowl XLVII.
The MVP of the Ravens’ 34-31 win vs. the San Francisco 49ers two weeks ago, Flacco recently took in Tommy Hilfiger’s men’s runway show.
Flacco talked to Vanity Fair Daily before the event in New York, where his wife, Dana, joined him over weekend. “This is my first time at a fashion so, it’s pretty cool,” he said. “I thought it would be a pretty cool opportunity for my wife to come down here and get pampered.”
Known for his aw-shucks, shoulder-shrugging demeanor, Flacco predictably screams casual. And that won’t change even after he signs a likely long-term deal over the summer with the Ravens that could be worth more than $100 million.
Flacco accepted a Chevy Stingray with his MVP award the morning after the Super Bowl, immediately hopped on a plane to Orlando for an appearance at Disney World, made an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman and now this.
“You know, I’m a pretty casual guy that likes to put a suit on for certain occasions,” he said. “I try to pick out what she wears, and I’m more concerned with that than I am with myself.”
The couple is expecting their second child.
