The Ravens’ season finale cost them a playoff spot, and cost safety James Ihedigbo in the wallet. Ihedigbo was fined $15,700 by the NFL for unnecessary roughness for a hit he delivered against Bengals wide receiver Marvin Jones. Ihedigbo struck Jones with the crown of the helmet during a fourth-quarter hit.

Ihedigbo is a free agent who had a solid season in his first year as a starter. However, both Ihedigbo and fellow starter Matt Elam are both more suited to play strong safety. Elam could be the starter at strong safety next season if Ihedigbo does not return.
