In his first comments since the Ravens were fined $20,000 by the NFL for not reporting a shoulder cartilage tear to Ed Reed, coach John Harbaugh promised the injury reports would look a lot different from now on.
Reed admitted a few weeks ago that he was playing with the injury but hadn't missed practice time as a result, according to Harbaugh, who didn't believe the Ravens would be disciplined after the league looked at footage from recent practices.
Reed said he as been playing through the injury since about Week 3. Harbaugh took issue with the language in the NFL's rules regarding what constitutes an injury that must be reported.
“There is not going to be anybody that is not going to be on there. It’s pretty hard for us to determine who a significant player is and who is not. I don’t know how to do that," Harbaugh said "That’s one of the ways they write it in there. They say a significant player who has not missed any time should be on there.
"Well, in my mind, all 53 are significant. I think every single guy is significant. I am not about to start saying one guy is more significant than the other.”
