Are the Ravens ready to turn it around?
As expected, the Ravens activated cornerback Asa Jackson to the 53-man roster Friday, and it was possible he would dress Sunday against the Bengals.
Jackson missed the first half of the season serving an eight-game suspension for violating the NFL performance-enhancing drug policy. Jackson has been suspended twice during his two-year career for what he said was unauthorized use of Adderall, a medication that is commonly used to treat attention-deficit hyperactive disorder.
The Ravens may need Jackson on Sunday. Cornerbacks Jimmy Smith (thigh) and Graham (calf) are not at 100 percent listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report. Jackson has practiced all week, and got a favorable review from Ravens coach John Harbaugh.
“Asa looked good, looked like he was in shape,” Harbaugh said. “I thought he was surprisingly sharp.”
Defensive coordinator Dean Pees also expressed confidence in Jackson. “We liked Asa when he was here, so we like him now that he is back,” Pees said. “He just needs to get back into the groove of it.”
