Joe Flacco and Colin Kaepernick shot a McDonald’s commercial together after they competed in Super Bowl XLVII.

However, the two quarterbacks have rarely spent time together. That should change this weekend, as the Ravens and 49ers continue three days of joint practices Sunday. Flacco and Kaepernick worked on adjacent fields Saturday, but they will have time to converse before and after practices around the Ravens facility.

“I just spent a little time with Colin that day,” said Flacco, recalling the commercial shoot. “It wasn’t anything crazy. I don’t really know him that well. I’ve seen him here and there. I’m sure over the next couple of days we’ll get to know each other a little better.”

Flacco has seen enough of Kaepernick to admire his ability.

“He is a good athlete and can stand in the pocket and throw the football really well, too,” Flacco said. “I think sometimes there are guys who are really good athletes that get pegged as that, but he’s obviously a guy that can do it all and play the game really well.”

The Ravens and 49ers don’t face each other during the regular season. However, neither Flacco nor Kaepernick would mind meeting up again at the next Super Bowl.
