Despite anationally televised mauling of the Bengals on Monday night, the Ravens appearto be a slight underdog as they hit theroad for the first time this season and travel up Interstate 95 to face theEagles. Most national media, though, were impressed enough by what they sawfrom the Ravens on Monday to give them the nod on Sunday. Here is how severalnational experts see the game: Albert Breer,NFL.com: Ravens 28, Eagles 24"Great asJoe Flacco looked on Monday, the challenge is different this week, with thedisruptive Philadelphia Eagles defensive line facing a Baltimore Ravensoffensive front that still has questions to answer. To pass this test, Flaccomight need to do more on his feet."HermEdwards,ESPN: Eagles (no score given)"(The Eagleson defense) have enough talent on the back end of their defense where they candefend people but they also got some good rushers. I think they are going totest the Baltimore Ravens offensive line with their rushers. I'm going to takePhiladelphia at home."
Mike Florio, ProFootball Talk: Ravens 30, Eagles 21"A week afterbarely beating the toothless new Browns, the Eagles get a taste of the oldBrowns. By the time its over, Mike Vick may need Jeffrey Lurie to pushthe wheelchair."Peter King,SI.com: Ravens 27, Eagles 17"A week ago,I never thought I'd pick the Ravens to win at the Linc, but I saw what I saw inWeek 1, and so did you. I saw Mike Vick look lousy and I saw Joe Flacco lookManningish. And this Dennis Pitta ... if you need a tight end in fantasyfootball, go get him. Now."Pete Prisco,CBSSports.com: Eagles 28, Ravens 23"The Ravenslooked great beating the Bengals. The Eagles looked awful in barely beating theBrowns. So why do I like the Eagles? They're at home. They can get after JoeFlacco. And there is no way Mike Vick plays like he did against the Browns. This is where not having Terrell Suggs shows up. Eagles get it going."
Mark Schlereth,ESPN: Ravens (no score given)"This is oneof the toughest games for me to pick, because Baltimore looked so impressive onMonday night against the Cincinnati Bengals. ... Defensively, there were somequestion marks, but I think they showed up and played exceptionally well, especially in that second half. ... And Flacco was tremendous. This one withtrepidation, but I'm going to take Baltimore."Michael DavidSmith, Pro Football Talk: Ravens 24, Eagles 17"The Eagles wonugly in Week One, while the Ravens won big. Much like they did last year, theEagles look like a team thats less than the sum of its parts, and I like theRavens to go to Philadelphia and win."
