The Baltimore Sun reported Friday morning that safety James Ihedigbo is getting offers from some NFC teams, ones the Ravens probably won't match.
The paper said league sources reported this, even though Ihedigbo had probably the best season of his career in 2013, growing into a solid player for the Ravens at strong safety. He had three interceptions and 101 tackles -- second on the team behind linebacker Daryl Smith.
According to The Sun, Ihedigbo went to the Lions last week. There's a Baltimore flavor out there as former offensive coordinator Jim Caldwell is now the team's head coach. Teryl Austin, who was the Ravens secondary coach for Ihedigbo last season, now stands as the Lions defensive coordinator.
The Sun said that sources are saying other NFC teams want to take a look at the safety.
