Ravens defensive tackle Haloti Ngata suffered a left knee injury late in the first quarter and was taken to the locker room for further observation.

Ngata had been playing well up to that point against both the run and the pass, getting penetration into the backfield and pressuring Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton.

There was no immediate word on the severity of Ngata’s injury, but the Ravens were already thin at defensive tackle, with Brandon Williams inactive for the game.

Terrence Cody replaced Ngata in the lineup, but the Ravens would be hoping that Ngata’s injury was not serious.
