Tests have confirmed that Michael Oher’s sprained right ankle injury is not serious, according to an NFL source.
It remains uncertain if Oher will be able to play Sept. 15 when the Ravens host the Browns. However, Oher has a history of being very durable, having made 65 consecutive starts since being drafted in 2009.
Oher was injured Thursday night during the second quarter, when teammate Marshal Yanda fell into Oher during Ray Rice’s touchdown run. The Ravens’ offensive line suffered when Oher left the game and was replaced at right tackle by fifth-round rookie Rick Wagner. At least the Ravens have reason to hope that Oher can return to the starting lineup Week 2.
