Pollard preparing "just to go play another freaking game"

Bernard Pollard was fined on Friday for a hit in the AFC title game last weekend in New England.

The Baltimore Sun and numerous other media outlets reported that the NFL fined the Ravens safety $15,250 for unnecessary roughness, hitting another player in the head and neck area.

That came from a third-quarter play where Pollard got a 15-yard personal foul for a shot he gave to New England wide receiver Wes Welker.

Pollard had a number of nasty hits in the game, which the Ravens won, 28-13, to earn their second trip to the Super Bowl.

New England quarterback Tom Brady also was fined in the game after a play where he slid with his right foot up and appeared to hit Ed Reed. The league docked Brady $10,000 for that one although Reed said he wasn't bothered by the incident.
