The bye week is over, and the Ravens go back on to the field Sunday against the Browns. Here's a few predictions/guesses for what will happen in the game in Cleveland:
1. Ray Rice will have a very busy afternoon-- The Ravens need to give Rice the ball more in any way possible. Let him run, let him catch the passes, just get him the ball. And that's what will happen in this game. What's going to be interesting is to see how far the Ravens take it. Would he have a chance to run the ball like 25 times. It's going to be interesting to see how busy Rice gets in this game.
2. The defense should be play better, led by Terrell Suggs-- The bye week couldn't have come at a better time for the defense, and they've had two weeks to look over film and figure out what's been going wrong. Even though the Browns have played better in recent games, they are not the Houston Texans, so the Ravens' defense should have a chance to turn in a better effort, and you can bet Suggs will be all over the place. The way he came back after ACL surgery is really something special.
3. The offense will get away from living off the passing attack-- This ties into the Rice thing. The NFL is now officially in love with offenses living off the air game. That's fine, but no matter what, teams need to learn how to run the ball to balance the attack. And the combination of a solid running game and effective passing attack makes any team hard to stop. The Ravens really should be able to do both, but they haven't done it yet this year.
Prediction: Ravens 24, Browns 16-- This one won't be a piece of cake because the Browns have been playing better and it's a home game for them. But the Ravens should be able to control the clock and the game.
