How do Ravens plan to stop Stafford? Smith answers

(Mitch Stringer-USA TODAY Sports)

DETROIT--Ravens linebacker Elvis Dumervil is active for Monday night’s game against the Lions, after missing the previous game with an ankle injury. Dumervil had been listed as questionable, but he was able to practice some during the week, and he was fully aware of the importance of this game.

The same could be said for Lions running back Reggie Bush, who was also active after missing the previous game with a calf injury. Bush (884 yards rushing, 448 yards receiving) is a key part of the Lions’ offense, and having him back in the lineup will make Detroit’s offense more difficult to contain.

Tight end Dallas Clark was also active for the Ravens after missing the Viking game, joining Dennis Pitta and Ed Dickson on the active roster. Dressing three tight ends could be an indication that the Ravens will utilize some two tight-end sets, featuring Pitta and Clark, or Pitta and Dickson.

Inactive for the Ravens were safeties Omar Brown and Brynden Trawick, center Ryan Jensen, running back Bernard Scott, linebacker John Simon, wide receiver Deonte Thompson, and defensive tackler Brandon Williams.

Inactive for the Lions were guards Rodney Austin and Leroy Harris, offensive tackle Jason Fox, cornerbacks Chris Houston and Darius Slay, running back Mikel Leshoure, and quarterback Kellen Moore .
