And now it's official. The Ravens announced a one-year contract with quarterback Caleb Hanie for the upcoming season.

Odds are slim that Hanie will see much action for the Ravens, who recently signed quarterback Joe Flacco to the richest deal in NFL history.
But Hanie can compete with incumbent backup QB Tyrod Taylor and participate in the Ravens preseason.
Last year, Hanie served as the third string QB in Denver behind Peyton Manning and Brock Osweiler, though he did not throw a pass in a regular season game and was inactive for many Broncos games.
Hanie, who played in college at Colorado State, started four games for the Chicago Bears in 2011 after starter Jay Cutler was lost for the season with an injury. Hanie was not impressive during his Bears run, throwing nine interceptions to just three touchdowns.
