Reed: 'I'm embarrassed for the whole city'
Want to put Sunday’s Ravens game behind and look ahead to next week? The Ravens’ opponent in Week 16 probably would like to do the same thing.
The Giants will come to Baltimore off a 34-0 loss to the Falcons. And though the Ravens might be feeling desperate for a win after losing three in a row, the Giants clearly are in more desperate straits. They find themselves tied for the NFC East lead and among a pack of NFC teams with an 8-6 record. The Giants could end up out of the playoffs a season after winning the Super Bowl.
“After today’s performance, we’ve got a lot of questions to answer,” Giants defensive lineman Justin Tuck said, as reported by The New York Times. “I wish had some red shoes, and I could wish myself right to next Sunday.”
“We really have no room for error right now,” fellow defensive lineman Osi Umenyiora said.
So whom do the Ravens get next week? A talented, veteran team embarrassed by its up-and-down performances and not at all certain about its playoff prospects. Not exactly the best matchup for a reeling Ravens team.
