Name: John Simon

Round: 4th (129th overall)

College: Ohio State

Height/Weight: 6-1, 257

Key college stats: 44 tackles, 9 sacks in 2012

The skinny: He will give the Ravens another good pass rusher, which is something they’ve been looking for this off-season. Simon’s listed as a DE/OLB so he’ll give the Ravens another guy who can give them pressure on the QB from the outside. Also was the Big Ten's Defensive Player of the Year in 2012 as his nine sacks were a career high.

Likely role on Ravens: The Ravens have been looking to get younger and stronger and bigger on the defensive line. This just adds to that. Simon said, in a conference call, that he’ll play wherever he wants to play. Simon was dealing with a shoulder injury at the Senior Bowl, but said in a conference call that “my health is 100 percent.” Plus, he’ll also play wherever they want him to. Simon can give coach John Harbaugh some options since he could go at different spots on defense.
