Ravens clean out their lockers
If you’re trying to pull a catfishing stunt by pretending to be a member of the Ravens, watch out. Bernard Pierce is on the case.
As reported by Black Sports Online (via BaltimoreRavens.com), the Ravens running back called out a guy named Dre Kates, who had a few sips of coffee with the team as an undrafted free agent, but had been presenting himself as a member of the club, apparently as a way to get women. Pierce tweeted out the word: “Yo this man @DreKates7 is a whole fraud! Bra stop lying to these females about playin football for the Ravens.”
Soon after, Kates changed his Twitter profile and issued mea culpa tweets.
This isn’t the first time that Kates has been in trouble for how he used Twitter. In college, when he was a defensive back at Indiana, Kates was suspended for complaining about his lack of playing time via tweets.

And let’s give him this: At least Kates wasn’t pretending to be somebody else who is an NFL player, like this guy in 2005, accused of impersonating Pittsburgh Steelers backup quarterback Brian St. Pierre.
