The Ravens said today they'll make plans for fans who come to M&T Bank Stadium for football games and other things held there if they'd like to smoke,
The Maryland Stadium Authority said Monday that smoking's going to be banned this year at the Ravens' home and Oriole Park, meaning the Super Bowl champs will have to do something in this area.
On WBAL's web site, Roy Sommerhof, who's the vice president of stadium operations for the Ravens, said the team's going "make accommodations" for those who come to the stadium and want to smoke.
It will be interesting to see what that policy is since the Ravens draw about 70,000 for every home game. Plus, the ban prohibits smoking from within 25 feet of each stadium.
The Ravens have said the team's going to let fans who want to smoke to come back into the stadium. So, this is probably something that's going to play out over the spring and summer. The Ravens don't have a game there until August.
